A Crafted Homage to Ancestry

Álainn Fion, meaning “Beautiful Wine” in Gaelic, pays homage to the ancestry of award winning Savitas Wines winemaker Matt O’Leary.

Each vintage Matt is given the licence to source highly exclusive individual parcels of fruit to produce small volumes of wine reflecting the best characteristics of the vintage’s climatic and growing conditions.

This first Chardonnay in the series is named after Matt’s late father Justin Bernard and reflects his father’s influence and celebrates his life. Much like the saying “The music has ended but the melody lingers on” the hope is this wine will provide lasting memories long after the last sip.

The label design features a graphic image is the Gaelic ’Tree of Life’, symbolising the importance of the vineyard being the beginning of the winemaking journey. The deep emboss and gloss high build print on thick paper stock add wonderful texture and layers to the label – just as there is in the wine. We were proud to bring this great story to life.
