Karin Seja
The Boss
After graduating, Karin joined Tucker and Kidd, then stayed with Ian Kidd Design for 28 years. Loyalty is her strong point. It was so much fun, she bought the company and started KSD on April Fools Day 2007. Wine and food dominate her life both in and out of the office producing a swag of award winning packaging and then downing the spoils. Her philosophy is simple – surround yourself with like minded people, enjoy what you’re doing, provide the best service you can and keep the fridge stocked.
Jason Spencer
Designer
Degree – tick. Awards – tick. Published work – tick. Accomplished in corporate identity, branding, wine, food, property and website design, Jason has worked together with Karin for over 13 years. He approaches each project with energy,
a positive sense of humour and respect for the client. Outside his working life he loves being with his family, surfing and enjoying a
cold beer!
Emma Weber
Designer
Growing up on a winery in the Clare Valley it’s no wonder her passion lies in wine packaging design. With over 16 years experience (13 with Karin), numerous awards, a design degree and post grad in marketing under her belt, Emma brings her ordered mind, humour and ‘I can do’ attitude to the studio. She also has a young daughter who keeps her on her toes and spends many an hour renovating her house.
Mark Harley
Designer
After finishing his degree, a stint overseas and a foray into the magazine world, Mark joined KSD mid way through 2010. Since then, his days have been full of learning, exploring and honing his craft while also undertaking project management from design to print. As the only Generation Y member of the team, Mark is crucial
in keeping the ‘Old farts’ in touch with the latest
trends – particularly all things emoticons & internet slang.
Rachel Decean
Studio Manager
Variety is the spice of life and Rachel’s career reflects this, as she has done it all! As the newest member of the KSD team, she brings a wealth of knowledge and skills having worked in various industries, ranging from hospitality to hairdressing and IT to administration. Not only does she keep the office running smoothly, but she is the “hostess with the mostess”– making sure the fridge is always well stocked and the clients and designers are happy.
